Cellulosic ethanol can be commercialized in the near-term with the right feedstock and the right design approach. BBI BioVentures and its partners plan to build commercial cellulosic ethanol plants with the first startup scheduled for 2010.
BBI BioVentures, LLC (BBIBV) is a development stage LLC developing a state-of-the-art business model for the development of multiple alternative feedstock cellulosic ethanol plants. This venture is working in conjunction with BBI International's Process Engineering Group and its Project Development Division. BBIBV has the vision to include other starch based ethanol plants to its stable of ethanol production facilities in the future.
